ANGMERING GRAND SLAM WINNERS 2004

Angmering had a remarkable 2004 stoolball season, winning the West Division League title, winners of the County Tournament , the Sussex Knockout Cup and the League Championship . 

During the 2004 season Angmering played eighteen games and remained undefeated in the West Division League, finishing outright winners for the fifth season in succession. 

The County Tournament held at Seaford  in August was attended by the top twenty teams of the Sussex County Stoolball Association. Angmering defeated United Friends from the East Division in the final.

The final of the Sussex Knockout Cup was played at Nutley in September. Angmering played against Clymping, also from the West Division, in the final, winning by ten wickets.

Angmering played against United Friends, from the East Division, and won the final of the League Championship, which was played at Plumpton in September. This completed a memorable 2004 stoolball season.

 

ANGMERING PRESENTATION EVENING 2004

The presentation evening was held in East Preston and awards were presented to the following players.

The players player award for the 2004 season was presented to  Sue Crossen.

The team would like to thank Pearl, Shirley, Janet, Bob and Kevin for their continued support with umpiring and scoring of matches.

Special thanks go to Melissa Mantle for all her hard work and for captaining the team during a memorable 2004 season.

 

JO DAVISON WINS GOLD

Jo Davison took part in the Deaf Olympics held in Melbourne, Australia. She represented Great Britain in the hammer throwing competition and won the gold medal.

 

WEST DIVISION PRESENTATION EVENING 2004

The annual presentation awards evening was held at Ashington village hall in November 2004. The evening was hosted by Ashington stoolball club.

JANUARY 2004

Members of the team spent an energetic weekend at an outward-bound centre in  Malvern.
